There are many people involved in bringing the Jaffa Orchard the undoubted success it has had since opening in 2002.
The project is run by approximately 84
volunteers. Many give their time on a regular basis for several hours or
more a week. Others help out on an occasional basis or are available
on standby to help cover school holidays, staff holidays and any other
unforeseen circumstances.
Our volunteers help out with all sorts of
duties ranging from building, maintenance and cleaning work, baking,
serving and washing up, to computer advice and training. Without them
and their skills, the project would not be able to continue.
We have two part time cooks - Barbie and
Karen. They work tirelessly in the kitchen to ensure that quality food
is prepared exactly to your liking, with a different lunch time dish and
soup prepared and cooked on the premises daily.
